 Ever wanted to play in a Jazz group and Big Band and perform in the wonderful setting of the National Centre For Early Music in York.

An exciting 3 day course between the 16th and 18th of April 2019.

The Jazzgodacademy workshops are designed to bring together students who love Jazz music and love performing aged between 7-80 years old. Jazzgodacademy will help develop ensemble skills, improvisation skills, confidence and general musicianship. Students will work in a band covering Jazz standards by their favourite composers or artists.

 On each day there will be an opportunity to perform in a big band with all the members of the workshop. Every afternoon there will be a workshop on improvisation to help further develop skills.

On the evening of the 18th of April you will perform at the NCEM.

This course is open to any instrument including: Vocals, Guitar, Bass, Drums, Keyboard, Violin, Saxophone, Trumpet and Trombone. If you play an instrument, you will need to bring it with you. If you play Bass or Electric guitar you’ll also need to bring an amplifier. You will be assigned a band at the beginning of the course.
